You may have seen this on the GS website, but just in case I thought I'd whore myself here as well, since there are so many good looking, talented and witty IT professionals here. smile.gif

As some of you may be aware, I've started in my new career as an IT Recruiter .....

Whilst this may encourage some of you to spit in my general direction, I'd like to use you lot if possible!

I cover general IT positions, including infrastructure, development, project management and testing.

If any of you are considering new employment - the company I work for (Blue Pelican) are an international recruiter that seem to be very well established, recruiting for firms like Virgin, Logica, Accenture, Cyber and Orange.

I also believe a few of you are quite high up on your companies IT ladder - if you hear of any new openings, or if you know of any other candidates that are looking for work, and you pass them my way, then the company pays a nice referral fee for these (upon successfully filling or placing...) that would cover several hefty nights out, except maybe for the likes of Shadey and Timmatt?.

Essentially .. please help! PM me any info, and if you also want me to keep an eye out for interesting jobs then give me a shout. I'm not an arsehole salesmen yet so you will get a decent service - so to speak!

I was replaying a patched version of medieval 2 recently and the total war series has got to be one of the best games franchises ever... about time they did a game that covered the 17-1800's!

Its upgrade time again and at the risk of starting a silly conversation about "wait for this" or "AMD/ATI are better than Intel/NVIDIA" this is what im looking at currently :-

Is this ok? Will it work together and is that a reasonable price? Eventually I want Vista so thats important as well.

I reinstalled windows last weekend and now when deleting files there is a long pause (3-5 seconds) whilst it thinks about it, before actually deleting the file, the pause doesnt stack if im deleting multiple files, its 3-5 seconds then the files go.

I had this problem before when i first installed windows media centre but cannot remember what I did to fix it and cant seem to find any topics on it on google. Rage.gif

Ive run all the windows updates to no avail, and there do not appear to be any errors in the application logs.

Has anyone got any ideas what might be causing this?
